Track laps send us circling. Pool laps bounce us back and forth.

Laps (a book for two) interrogates such rhythms and structures through a performative, partnered reading experience. Too physically large to be handled by a single person, two readers must collaborate to handle and read the book. Here and always, language is the constant choreographer of our bodies, the medium in which we build all relationships. A book is a play space for language, one which we hold in our hands, our arms, our laps.
